DJIA Prepares for October Rally After Fulfilling Outlook for Decline into Late-Sept ‘26.

09-30-26 – “Stock Indices remain divergent as the DJIA, DJTA (the ‘DJs’) S+P Midcap 400 & Russell 2000 set new multi-month lows while the NQ-100 is within striking distance of new all-time highs (the cash index set a record high close on Sept 22nd) and the S+P 500 is tracing out a daily trend & 21 MAC sequence that could spur a rally back to the highs.

The spike lows fulfilled multiple cycles projecting a multi-week (or longer) bottom for late-Sept ’26. As explained in March ’26, the DJIA has set a multi-month low every 25 – 26 weeks (~6-month/180-degree cycle) since Oct ’23. That reinforced a myriad of timing indicators projecting a critical low on March 30, ’26… and then on/around Sept 30 ’26.

It has now fulfilled both of those.

Sept 21 – 30, ‘26 also represents the midpoint of a related 51 – 52-week low-low cycle even as Sept 21 – 28, ’26 represents the fulfillment of an over-arching ~17.5-month/~76-week low-low-(low; Sept 21 – 28, ’26) Cycle Progression.

This has also allowed the Russell 2000 & S+P Midcap to fulfill the ideal scenario related to their weekly 21 MAC reversal sequences (and detailed in the Sept 23, ’26 Alert). As explained then…

9-23-26 – “The DJTA is tracing out multiple weekly reversal signals and recently closed below its weekly 21 Low MAC while turning the direction of that 21 Low MAC down. The Russell 2000 & S+P Midcap 400 did the same thing – another example of an indicator that confirms a broader reversal while ushering in the time for an initial spike low.

In the ideal scenario, the Russell 2000 & S&P Midcap 400 would spike below their weekly 21 Low MARCs while setting that low – reversing (lower) the direction of their corresponding weekly 21 Low MACs after closing below them last week.”

Both of those indexes just spiked below their weekly 21 Low MARCs, resulting in the direction of the weekly 21 Low MACs turning down. (The IWM ETF needs to drop below 276.10 to do the same.) That is the first time the S+P Midcap has turned the weekly 21 MAC down since Feb 2025.

This also reinforces the intriguing setup in the Russell 2000, recently described in the October ’26 INSIIDE Track… The first 3 – 5 trading days of October ’26 should reveal several things about the coming month.” TRADING INVOLVES SUBSTANTIAL RISK!

The DJIA peaked in early-August with other indexes peaking in mid-August – all projecting significant declines into late-Sept/early-Oct ’26! An October ’26 rebound could follow. The weekly trends should provide additional clues regarding what to expect throughout 4Q 2026.

On an intra-year basis, Stock Indexes reached and then surged from a powerful convergence of daily, weekly & monthly Cycle Progressions and timing indicators that projected a multi-month bottom on March 30, ’26. That set the stage for the remainder of 2026 and identified last-Sept ’26 as the most likely time for a future multi-month low to take hold in the DJIA.

That is one reason why an overall August/Sept decline was projected!
