DJIA, Russell 2K & IDX Reinforce Outlook for Drop into Late-Sept/Early-Oct ‘26.

09-23-26 – “Stock Indices are expanding their divergence as a very small percentage of stocks are supporting the NQ-100 & S+P 500 while the DJIA, DJTA, S+P Midcap 400 & Russell 2000 remain on track for an overall decline from mid-August into at least late-Sept ’26…

As explained back in March ’26, the DJIA has set a multi-month low every 25 – 26 weeks (~6-month/180-degree cycle) since October ’23. That reinforced a myriad of timing indicators projecting another multi-month low on March 30, ’26… and then potentially in late-Sept ’26 (see inset on page 2).

Most indexes bottomed precisely on March 30, ’26 – validating that cycle and increasing the likelihood for a future low in late-Sept ’26… the current time frame.

That also represents the midpoint of a related 51 – 52-week low-low cycle even as Sept 21 – 28, ’26 represents the fulfillment of an over-arching ~17.5-month/~76-week low-low-(low; Sept 21 – 28, ’26) Cycle Progression.

[On a near-term basis, that leaves open the question of whether the shorter-term ~1-month/~30-day cycle illustrated in the accompanying HCP diagram will time another high or invert to time a low.]

A low in this time period would also fulfill the likely action following a weekly trend reversal (Russell 2000 & possibly S+P Midcap). In addition…

The DJTA is tracing out multiple weekly reversal signals and recently closed below its weekly 21 Low MAC while turning the direction of that 21 Low MAC down.

The Russell 2000 & S+P Midcap 400 did the same thing – another example of an indicator that confirms a broader reversal while ushering in the time for an initial spike low.

In the ideal scenario, the Russell 2000 & S&P Midcap 400 would spike below their weekly 21 Low MARCs while setting that low – reversing (lower) the direction of their corresponding weekly 21 Low MACs after closing below them last week. Those 21 Low MARCs are at 2792/QRZ (270.36/IWM) & 3564/IDX.” TRADING INVOLVES SUBSTANTIAL RISK!

The DJIA peaked in early-August with other indexes peaking in mid-August – all projecting significant declines into late-Sept/early-Oct ’26! An October ’26 rebound could follow. The weekly trends should provide additional clues regarding what to expect throughout 4Q 2026.

On an intra-year basis, Stock Indexes reached and then surged from a powerful convergence of daily, weekly & monthly Cycle Progressions and timing indicators that projected a multi-month bottom on March 30, ’26. That set the stage for the remainder of 2026 and identified last-Sept ’26 as the most likely time for a future multi-month low to take hold in the DJIA.

That is one reason why an overall August/Sept decline has been expected!

How Would Plunge into Late-Sept ’26 Impact 4Q ’26 Outlook?
