Gold, Silver & Metals Project August ’26 Surges After Triggering Multi-Month Buy Signals!

07-30/31-26 – Outlook 2026 – Peaks & Valleys

Gold & Silver often lead inflation… not the other way around.

As the Dollar-based price of Gold (and Silver) go up, the respective value of the US Dollar goes down – the true definition of inflation.

That is often masked by the corresponding action of the US Dollar Index since that is merely a comparison among various fiat (debt-backed) currencies to determine which is the ‘healthiest horse’ in thewell, you get it.

As that valuation of Gold & Silver goes up, it shows the Dollar is losing its purchasing power and being further devalued (dating back to Sept 1999 – when Gold bottomed below $300/oz)… a reality that eventually finds its way into mainstream forms of valuation, like commodity prices.

Of course, there are some times when both valuations align…

40-Year Cycle of Currency War

That is usually when the convergence of major, longer-term cycles & Cycle Progressions is too much to ignore… so both the Gold-based value of the Dollar AND the Forex-based value of the Dollar peak (or bottom) in unison.

Sept/Oct 2022 was a perfect example that was heavily influenced by the onset of the latest phase of the 40-Year Cycle of Currency War (see ITTC – 40YC Currency War)… at the same time Gold was bottoming in perfect sync with a ~7-year low-low-low-(low; 4Q 2022) Cycle Progression and entering what could/ should be a ~7-year advance.

As explained for over a decade preceding that 40-Year Cycle shift, a momentous 7-year period was projected to initiate this latest 40-Year Cycle… in 2022 – 2028/2029. To put that in context

40YC Finale

2016 – 2021 was identified as the transition period (’seismic shift’) of the latest 40-Year Cycle of Currency War – evolving from the 6th 40-Year Cycle since the start of America into the 7th and potentially culminating 40-Year Cycle.

In relation to that, late-2021 was forecast to usher in a new Cycle of War (80-Year Cycle of War) while late-2022 was projected to usher in a new Cycle of Currency War. Similar to what was seen in 1941 – 1945 and then 1945 – 1949, that 80-Year Cycle of War was expected to unfold in two phases – late-’21 into late-’25 and then late-’25 into late-’29.

For additional context, the period 2016 – 2021 was related to similar periods in 1776 – 1781, 1816 – 1821, 1856 – 1861, 1896 – 1901, 1936 – 1941 & 1976 – 1981. During and surrounding each of those 40-Year Currency Cycles, the battle between hard currency and paper (fiat) currency intensified.

The Golden 40-Year Cycle

2016 – 2021 was a precise 40-Year Cycle from when the western world officially declared its divorce decree from Gold with the Jamaica Accord of 1976… and was the time projected to see an initial multi-year advance in Gold… just like 1976 – 1980.

Sure enough, Gold surged from early-2016 into late-2020 (with a double top set in early-2022).

That multi-year bull market presaged a subsequent inflationary surge – forecast to begin in March/April ‘20 and initially last into 3Q 2022

(Tech Tips: Cycle Synergy II

1Q ’20 Cycle Lows: Stocks, Silver & Natural Gas)

That was projected to be a precursor to a new inflationary surge beginning in early-2026.

Phase II & III

After a subsequent ~2-year corrective period (the early-2022 high was identified as the ‘B’ wave peak of a multi-year ‘A-B-C’ correction), Gold & Silver were projected to enter new multi-year advances in late-2022 that would likely see them surge into late-2025/early-2026… and ideally into 2028/2029.

That remains the case and was validated by Silver’s parabolic surge into late-January ‘26 (when Gold also peaked) – mirroring the 400 – 500% gains of two previous parabolas.

That was the ~3.5-year mid-point of the 7-Year Cycle that helped pinpoint the 2022 low in Gold – increasing the potential for an overall 7-year advance into late-2029… a revealing ‘half-time’.

White-Hot Metals

In between those two prominent peaks, metals had to enter a valley… as discussed last issue. Based on multiple timing indicators, the ideal time for the low point was in mid-2026.

Among other things, that would produce the potential for an Intra-Year V pattern in which an initial intra-year high is seen in Jan, a subsequent low is seen in mid-June – mid-July, and another high is set near year-end.

There were/are a myriad of corroborating factors and once again the white metals are coming back into focus. With the vital role that ‘platinum group metals’ play in the new AI/EV/Alternate energy economy, it is not surprising that Platinum & Palladium are also signaling important lows.

To reiterate…

One major conclusion – published in the late-2010’s & early-2020’s – was that the 2022 – 2028 period would see a serious diminishing of the US Dollar as global currency kingpin. By the time 2029 rolls around, the global currency order was/is forecast to look much different than in 2021.

The latest step in that process might have just begun in July – when China ushered in a new Hong Kong-based clearing system for Gold…

Gold & Silver are consolidating after Gold set a new intra-year low in late-June, fulfilling an ~11-week high-high-high-(low; June 29 – July 2, ’26) Cycle Progression while providing another intra-week spike below its Oct ’25 low (4th wave of lesser degree)… all setting the stage for a multi-month low to take hold.

There were even longer-term cycles involved. For context, Silver has a ~2.5-year/~30-month low (March ’20) – low (Sept ’22) – low (April ’25) – (low/high; Sept/Oct ’27) Cycle Progression that is likely to time the next 6 – 12-month peak in Sept/Oct ‘27. A preceding high in ~Oct ’26 would corroborate.

The midpoint of that ~30-month Cycle Progression is the latest phase of a ~14 – 15-month low (Jan/Feb ’24) – low (Apr ’25) – (low; June/July ’26) Cycle Progression that also projected a low in late-June – mid-July ’26 and would ideally trigger a rally into Sept/Oct ’27 (it’s next phase).

The potential for a mid-year ’26 low (late-June – mid-July ’26) was reinforced by other factors…

From a broad perspective, Silver has experienced 5 declines of ~6 months in duration – since mid-2019. They included the declines of Sept ’19 – March ’20, Feb ’21 – Sept ’21, March ’22 – Sept ’22, April ’23 – Oct ’23 and Oct ’24 – April ’25. A 6th decline of similar duration would bottom in July ’26.

The decline into the week of July 13 – 17, ’26 also completed a perfect .618 time retracement of the May ’25 – Jan ’26 advance. Those lows fulfilled weekly HLS indicators & gave reinforcement to prevailing wave analysis that the recent decline (since mid-April ’26) is still a corrective one (‘C’ wave).

Gold & Silver declined into mid-month and have since rebounded but need weekly closes above 4320/GCZ & 64.20/SIU to produce the first signs of a multi-month bottom.

The XAU & HUI declined from mid-May cycle highs into mid-July, fulfilling their weekly trend patterns, setting the stage for a multi-month low as they attacked rising monthly 21 High MACs.

They stretched their declines into July 17th, fulfilling a ~1-month/~30-degree high (Apr 17) – high (May 13) – high (June 17) – (low; July 17, ’26) Cycle Progression and intra-month downtrends.

At the same time, they fulfilled a 19 – 20-week high-high-high-(low) and a ~10-week high-high-high-high-(low) Cycle Progression… indicating that at least a ~5-week rally should follow.

Initially, that could spur a rally into late-Aug/early-Sept ’26 (corroborating related Silver cycles). Daily closes above the July 22nd highs are needed to turn the daily trends up and corroborate.

Another significant peak is expected in Oct ’26 that would fulfill a ~4-year low (4Q ’14) – low (Aug/Sept ’18) – low (Sept/Oct ’22) – (high; Sept – Nov ’26) Cycle Progression as well as a ~1-year/~360-degree low (Oct ’23) – high (Oct ’24) – high (Oct ’25) – (high; Oct ’26) Cycle Progression.

Platinum & Palladium reinforced the potential for a low with Platinum fulfilling a ~7-month/31 – 32-week low (Sept 2 – 6, ‘24) – low (April 7 – 11, ’25) – low (Nov 17 – 21, ’25) – (low; June 29 – July 2, ’26) Cycle Progression & projecting at least a ~16-week rally (50% of 32-week cycle) into Oct 19 – 23, ’26.

Ideally, that would only be part of a full ~32-week rally – since that Cycle Progression is at the likely inversion stage – into Feb 8 – 12, ’27.

Platinum corrected back to its Oct/Nov ‘25 lows (~1500/PL) – the 4th wave of lesser degree support – where it initially bottomed. That is the ideal setup for an ultimate rally to new highs (2027 or ‘28?).

Platinum remains well above its April ’25 low – set when it fulfilled a 30 – 31-month low (Sept ‘17) – low (March ‘20) – low (Sept ‘22) – (low; Mar/Apr ‘25) Cycle Progression & projected a subsequent ~2.5-year/30 – 31-month rally to follow. The first peak took hold in Jan ‘26.

That projected a future 1 – 2-year peak in Sept/Oct 2027. The midpoint of that 30 – 31-month Cycle Progression – in July ‘26 – was expected to usher in an intervening low and the next phase of Platinum’s bull market. So far, so good.

Palladium did initially bottom near 1150/PA, right at its rising monthly 21 Low MAC and the level of its Aug ’25 low. It would not signal a reversal higher, however, until a weekly close above 1420/PAU.

Copper remains on course for an overall advance into mid-2028 (May – August ‘28) when a ~4-year/50-51m low (Oct ‘11) – low (Jan ‘16) – low (Mar ‘20) – high (May ‘24) – (high; July/Aug 2028) Cycle Progression recurs. The midpoint helped time the June ’26 low and reinforces a ~6-year/~74-month low (Jan ’16) – high (Mar ’22) – (high; May 2028) Cycle Progression.

That is also when a ~3-year/~36-month low (July ’22) – high & low (July ’25) – (high; July 2028) Cycle Progression overlaps the potential fulfillment of successive 74 month rallies (July – Sept 2028). A ~17-Year Cycle Progression concurs (~4Q 1976 – 4Q 1993 – 1Q 2011 – 2Q/3Q 2028).

In the interim, a peak in 3Q ’26 is a distinct possibility.

Why?

Throughout this century, Copper has shown a strong proclivity to move in ~2-year & ~4-year cycles and waves. A few of them mature in 3Q ’26 – when an additional surge & spike high is possible, corroborating daily & weekly CPs.

For starters, a ~24 – 25-month low-low-(high; Aug/Sept ’26) Cycle Progression would fulfill the latest phase of a ~2-year Cycle Progression that also timed lows in Aug/Sept ’16 & Aug/Sept ’18 (but not in Aug/Sept ’20).

A related ~4-year low-low-low-high-(high; 3Q ’28) Cycle Progression has its midpoint in July/Aug ’26. A peak in ~Aug ’26 would complete the latest ~2-year advance – matching the durations of prior rallies in 2004-’06, 2008-’11, 2016-’17, 2020-’22 & 2022-’24.

There is much more to these two cycles – in 3Q ’26 & 3Q ’28 – that will be elaborated in the coming months. It reinforces the ongoing broader outlook for mid-2026 into late-2028, the culminating (and potentially most ‘exciting’) phase of this 7-year period from 2022 – 2028.”

Gold & Silver (as well as Platinum, Palladium and the XAU & HUI) fulfilled analysis for a multi-month drop into July ’26 – when a decisive, multi-month bottom was/is projected. This is still perceived to be an ‘A-B-C’ correction (of an over-arching multi-year uptrend), with the terminal ‘C’ wave forming a bottom while ushering in the next phase of the 40-Year Cycle of Currency War. A new surge is now very likely!

Late-June/early-July ’26 is/was the ideal time for the start of a multi-week bottoming process, with Gold leading the way. The XAU corroborated with mid-July ’26 cycle lows. Silver & the white metals followed. Late-July/early-August ’26 was/is the most likely time for a new surge to take hold as part of Gold’s projected multi-month advance from its June 30, ’26 low. Copper projects an imminent surge to new all-time highs!

All this remains in the context of the unfolding scenarios projected for 2022 – 2028/2029, with Gold & Silver nearing a transition into the next phase of their over-riding outlook. If they begin a new surge in late-July/early-August ’26, that would powerfully corroborate projections for 3Q & 4Q 2026… as well as analysis for 2026 – 2029! Analysis for the US Dollar & Forex, Interest Rates, Stock Indexes and Bitcoin/cryptos concurs.
