Gold & Silver Nearing Time (Aug 24 – 28th) for Projected Peak! Dollar Setting Crucial Low.
08-20-26 – “Gold & the White Metals (Silver, Platinum, Palladium) have rallied sharply – with Gold leading the way – after fulfilling 3 – 6-month downside objectives and providing textbook monthly chart buy signals at their July ’26 lows.
That also fulfilled key technical patterns that were arguing for a major ‘C’ wave low and the onset of a new multi-month advance. Those lows fulfilled weekly HLS indicators & primed Gold & Silver for a new surge beginning in late-July ‘26.
All these factors were setting the stage for – and powerfully corroborating – the latest phase of the 40-Year Cycle of Currency War (see July & August ’26 INSIIDE Tracks for latest updates).
Gold, Silver, Platinum & Palladium generated a series of multi-week buy signals in mid-to-late-July, increasing the likelihood for a new surge to take hold in late-July… That increased the downward pressure on the US Dollar.
The US Dollar has reached its initial downside target – in price (~68.50/DXU) and time (August 19/20th) and could see a rebound…
On a multi-month basis, Gold was expected to see an initial surge to 4460 – 4490/GCZ, a subsequent rally to 4680/GCZ, and a possible advance above 4800/GCZ.
~4810 – 4820/GCZ is where the current rally would equal (magnitude) the March/April ’26 rally AND – on a smaller basis, a rally from Friday’s low (4365/GCZ) would equal the preceding July 29 – Aug 13, ’26 rally.
It includes last week’s LHR (applies for 2 weeks) and last month’s LHR (4827/GCZ, applies in July & August) as well as the high of the initial Jan ’26 rally and a 50% rebound of the March – June ’26 decline. The August 20th daily LHR is just below there.
It is just above the ascending weekly 40 High MAC and is in line with a multi-year range sequence in Dec Gold (~2400 – ~3200 – ~4000 – ~4800 – ~5600/GCZ) that was powerfully reinforced by the July ’26 low (near 4000/GCZ). Many of those factors do not specify timing, so price action needs to hone that.
Silver has related targets & decision points at 70.80 – 72.80/SIU… that remain ‘in play’… Silver maintains weekly cycles converging in late-August and a high on Aug 21 – 28, ’26 would fulfill a ~15-week low-high-high-high-(high; Aug 21 – 28, ’26) Cycle Progression. That metal is now within the normal margin of error for a cycle of that duration, so a peak could take hold…
2 – 4 week & 1 – 3 month traders could have entered long positions in Dec Gold & Sept Silver futures at 4054 – 4130/GCZ & 56.87 – 58.90/SIU – in line with the published trading strategies for July 27 – 31, ’26 – and be holding these with open gains of about $45,000/contract in Gold futures & about $39,000/ contract in Silver futures.
Risk/exit on daily closes below 4490/GCZ and/or 63.95/SIU.” TRADING INVOLVES SUBSTANTIAL RISK!!
Gold & Silver, Platinum & Palladium and the XAU & HUI have surged after fulfilling projections for a multi-month drop into July ’26 – when a decisive, multi-month bottom was/is expected… as part of the next phase of the 40-Year Cycle of Currency War. A surge into late-August ’26 has been forecast! (Another surge could follow in 4Q ’26.)
Late-July/early-August ’26 was/is the most likely time for a new surge to take hold as part of Gold’s projected multi-month advance from its June 30, ’26 low into late-August ’26… and up to ~4680/GCZ, possibly attacking ~4800/GCZ. (Oct ’26 is the next month in focus!) Cryptos have also been projecting a powerful surge into August 25/26th!
All this remains in the context of the unfolding scenarios projected for 2022 – 2028/2029, with Gold & Silver entering the next phase of their overriding outlook. If they fulfill a projected surge into late- August ’26, that would powerfully corroborate projections for 4Q 2026… including the timing and extent of a (likely) multi-week correction in Gold & Silver, following that late-August ’26 expected peak!
