Gold, Silver & XAU Validating Late-August ’26 (Multi-Month) Cycle Peaks!
09-02-26 – “Energy markets and the GSCI (Goldman Sachs Commodity Index… heavily weighted in energy) are nearing an inflection point in sync with cycles & Cycle Progressions that:
- Timed the Dec ’25 lows and projected related surges in oil & commodity inflation for 2026…
- Projected and then timed the April ’26 highs (3 – 6-month peak in GSCI & intervening high in energy markets)…
- Projected a more significant peak in late-August/early-Sept ’26 – the fulfillment of an uncanny ~8-month low-low-low-low-(high; early-Sept ’26) Cycle Progression in energy markets.
Many signs point to an impending (intervening) peak in oil markets and the GSCI.
That would be viewed as another stepping stone in the overall outlook for an inflationary surge from Dec ’25 into April/May ’27. That was projected to begin with an initial surge into April ’26 and then a second surge into late-August ’26. Future peaks in late-Dec/early-Jan & April/May ’27 are still likely.
The period of Sept 4 – 11, ‘26 comprises a great synergy of Cycle Progressions – some weekly, some monthly – that converge in the energy markets and are increasingly likely to time an important top.
As just mentioned, an intriguing one is the ~8-month low (early-Jan ‘24) – low (early-Sept ‘24) – low (early-May ‘25) – low (early-Jan ‘26) Cycle Progression that helped pinpoint the onset of this 2026 surge in oil prices… while projecting an overall advance into early-Sept ‘26.
Another related Cycle Progression involves the ~18-week Cycle Progression in the GSCI that was fulfilled in late-April ‘26 and projected a future peak at this time frame (Aug 31 – Sept 11, ‘26).
The bottom line is that the current period – most synergistic on Sept 4 – 11, ‘26 – is a likely time for a multi-week (or longer) peak in many inflationary markets… a factor that could impact interest rates in 3Q ‘26. Sept 4/8th is the ideal time…
Gold & Silver surged into the final week of Aug ’26 – when Cycle Progressions projected a multi-week peak to take hold and spur a sharp pullback after Gold & Silver had also attacked upside price targets.
Silver also had weekly cycles projecting a high on Aug 21 – 28, ’26 that would fulfill a ~15-week low-high-high-high-(high; Aug 21 – 28, ’26) Cycle Progression. Both metals pulled back to their weekly 21 Low MACs and are finding some support…
The one thing working against these metals is their daily trends, which turned down during the recent decline…
The flipside of that ‘concerning’ indicator is the positive wave structure in both Gold & Silver. Their 5-wave advances into late-August created wave ‘4’ lows (4th wave of lesser degree support) at their August 14/19th lows. That became the primary downside target – for the first correction – and a level of multi-week support.
Gold & Silver both retraced toward those levels with Gold bottoming right at its 4th wave of lesser degree support (and precisely at its weekly 21 Low MAC) while Silver bottomed a little bit above that level…
Bottom line: Monitor the new intra-month trend (daily close above or below the trading range of Sept 1st – 3rd on any day after Sept 3rd) for initial signs of which way these metals should head into mid-Sept…
2 – 4 week & 1 – 3 month traders could have entered long positions in Dec Gold & Sept Silver futures in late-July at avgs of ~4092/GCZ & ~57.90/SIU in line with published trading strategies for July 27 – 31, ’26.
2 – 4-week traders could have exited Gold & Silver long positions in late-August ‘26, resulting in overall avg gains of about $51,000/contract in GCZ & about $52,000/contract in SIU.
1 – 3-month traders could have exited 1/2 of long positions near 4680/GCZ and 69.00/SIU – w/avg gains of about $59,000/contract in GCZ & about $55,000/contract in SIU and exited the remaining 1/2 on the week’s open (avg exit near 4500/GCZ & 66.40/SIU) – resulting in overall avg. gains for the entire trade of about $50,000/contract in GCZ & about $50,000/contract in SIU. The XAU & HUI also surged into late-August, fulfilling almost all of what was projected from their mid-July ’26 lows. In July, they fulfilled analysis for a multi-month low to take hold in mid-July – when a 19 – 20-week high-high-high-(low) and a ~10-week high-high-high-high-(low) Cycle Progression converged.
That projected initial rallies of 5 – 6 weeks. By stretching into last week, they rallied for .618 – .667 of that ~10-week cycle. Both have since retraced to their ascending daily 21 High MACs while turning their daily trends down. The new intra-month trends need to clarify the 1 – 2-week outlook.” TRADING INVOLVES SUBSTANTIAL RISK!!
Gold & Silver, Platinum & Palladium and the XAU & HUI surged into late-August ‘26 and to multiple upside targets – fulfilling the upside potential for this multi-week advance. An intermediate top was expected to take hold in late-August and trigger a sharp sell-off in September, in line with Silver’s weekly trend that failed to turn up. It is also in line with the uncanny ~15-week Cycle Progression in Silver…
8-26-26 – “A myriad of signals identified late-July ‘26 as the most likely time for the onset of an accelerated rally in precious metals… a rally that could initially extend into late-August… Gold, Silver, Platinum & Palladium generated a series of convincing buy signals in mid-to-late-July…
Silver has related targets & decision points at 70.80 – 72.80/SIU… Silver has weekly cycles converging at this time and a high on Aug 21 – 28, ’26 would fulfill a ~15-week low-high-high-high-(high; Aug 21 – 28, ’26) Cycle Progression… The XAU & HUI also surged into late-August, fulfilling almost all of what was projected from their mid-July ’26 lows…”
All this remains in the context of the unfolding scenarios projected for 2022 – 2028/2029, with Gold & Silver entering the next phase of their overriding outlook. Having fulfilled the projected surge into late-August ’26, that powerfully corroborates projections for 4Q 2026 & 1Q 2027… including the timing and extent of the next (likely) rally in Gold & Silver after a ‘sharp’ September sell-off.
