Stocks Portend October Rally; DJIA Fulfilling Outlook for Multi-Month Low in late-Sept ‘26.

10-03-26 – “Stock indexes fulfilled downside projections with the DJIA dropping from early-August into late-Sept ‘26. Weekly trend & 21 MAC indicators also argued for a multi-week low at this time. The Russell 2000 & S+P Midcap 400 concurred and are providing specific upside targets…

Stock Indices are becoming more disparate with the NQ-100 at record, all-time highs while the DJIA has declined for ~8 weeks and just set new ~15-week lows while neutralizing its weekly uptrend & completing the first step of a potential weekly 21 MAC reversal sequence.

The DJIA closed the week below its weekly 21 Low MAC – the first stage of that process. The second stage is for the direction of that weekly 21 Low MAC to turn down. That requires a drop below the weekly 21 Low MARC – the low of 21 weeks prior…

In the interim, the DJIA could see a rebound to ~52,400 – 52,700 (weekly LHR, monthly SPR, daily high & low, daily 21 High MARC late-week)…

Meanwhile, the S+P 500 spiked down to its weekly HLS (7675/ESZ) and rallied, remaining capable of retesting its high and corroborating the potential for an early-Oct ’26 rebound.

Multiple indexes fulfilled projections (published since March ’26) for a multi-month low to occur in late-Sept ‘26 – fulfilling an ongoing pattern in which the DJIA has set a multi-month low every 25 – 26 weeks (~6-months/180-degrees) since Oct ’23.

A late-Sept ’26 low also fulfills the midpoint of a related 51 – 52-week low-low cycle and an over-arching ~17.5-month/~76-week low-low-(low; Sept 21 – 28, ’26) Cycle Progression.

This allowed the Russell 2000 & S+P Midcap to fulfill the ideal scenario related to their weekly 21 MAC reversal sequences (see Sept 23, ’26 Alert) – turning the levels of the weekly 21 Low MACs down. The decline stretched just long enough for the IWM ETF to do the same.

That is the first time the S+P Midcap has turned the weekly 21 MAC down since Feb 2025. It did that while spiking lower and then generating a weekly 2 Close Reversal higher – projecting a rally that could last into mid-Oct. The Russell 2K is in the ideal position to fulfill late-Sept analysis for an early-Oct rebound…

Stock indices fulfilled late-Sept ’26 cycle lows and could rally farther. The new intra-month trends should clarify how much farther is likely.” TRADING INVOLVES SUBSTANTIAL RISK!

The DJIA peaked in early-August with other indexes peaking in mid-August – all projecting significant declines into late-Sept/early-Oct ’26! That was fulfilled and projected an early-October ’26 rebound. The weekly trends should provide additional clues regarding what to expect throughout 4Q 2026.

In contrast, the S+P 500 & NQ-100 surged to new all-time highs leading into early-October Cycle Progressions… setting the stage for a late-Oct ’26 sell-off.
